Great structure. Fine stewy cherries. Long finish. Delicious.

Absolutely first rate, as Steve Shaw wines always are.

Tannic, full bodied, HM's pick that he says tastes like fine burgundy

Not as good as we usually get from Shaw Vineyard. Still decent, though.

Still has some amazing flavor. Smoky. Oak is a bit overused. Tart cherry is still very prevalent. Thoroughly enjoy a good vintage of red wine from the #flxwine

This is really good. The first thing that hit was a peppery nose. Then there was dry cherry and dry strawberry with tart acidity. Chocolate, pine needles and oak come up as you drink it. Minerality is dry stone and a little earth. This is not a fruit forward Pinot. It's relatively light bodied with old school burgundy complexity coming in. The peppery tartness stood up to Thanksgiving turkey and gravy. I'm glad I bought several bottles.

Fruit candy flavors (i.e. Jolly ranchers), weak structure and a disappointing finish. Even when only compared to other Finger Lakes wine, this bottle came up short.
