Pretty medium garnet color, vibrant acidity and bright fresh berry character. No jamminess or white pepper here, just delicious fruit and 12.5% abv. Seductive in its appeal. Well judged oak that never intrudes on the fruit. Dekicious and a benchmark in cool climate shiraz

The runner up of the 3rd flight. Great dark berries and moreish tannin. Could be back to back winner. Props to @wadewitz

Wine in the news: Adelaide Hills shiraz or syrah; this made by the cousins Shaw & Smith though the recent Jimmy Watson winner with a syrah from the same Geographic Indication has been the media star. This S+ S wine is taut and frank; nose and taste are tightly coiled as an expression of black
fruits; importantly it is not simple tannin which is often the crutch used in this region; great tannin for such a light bodied wine; AUD 45

Another stunner from this portfolio. Adam really knows how to make subtle style of Shiraz. Rich and full with plum,
