Cattoo Reserve Lodi Zinfandel

Pale ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of Smokey earth, plums, tart berry, forest floor, mushrooms, spice; dry, high alcohol, medium plus body, jammy on palate, bitterness on finish

This is a full bodied red, dark and rich and drier than most Zinfandels. It tastes of red currant, boysenberry, and green pepper, with a mineral flavor and a touch of black pepper spice to the finish.

This Lodi Zin is nicely balanced, avoiding both the super-sweet jam bomb and the sky-high alcohol styles. Rather, it exhibits the excellent Lodi fruits of blackberry and red currant, with just enough residual sugar to avoid tartness.

This Zinfandel is creamy with some residual sugar but not an alcohol bomb. It tastes of currants and oak, with a bit of leather to the tingly finish.

Light body berrys on the nose and tastes like grape jam. Not a fan

Ok. The first one that O have tried that broke a 9. Not too sweet and not too dry.

2018 Naked Wine dark and rich

Nice crisp zin blend. Great with ratatouille and pan fried trout. Almost finished after taste, semi dry, very pleasant.

Nice, very drinkable zin, but nothing really sticks out, well worth the price though.
