This Malbec is more Argentine than Bordeaux in its approach. It is a big wine, full of jammy currant and plum flavors, with a tart finish despite the moderate residual sugar. It may fare better paired with spicy beef, but seemed a bit thick as a cocktail wine.

Critter label with a cute cat. Funky town nose. Flavors are strange yet interesting. Big and bold. Berry stuff with a big old tannic hairball on the finish. Nice CA Malbec with plenty of savory and smokey stuff on the back end.

Worthwhile at the approx $9 I paid for it (on a mixed case basis). Malbec is better when riper. This is viscous, with a nice mouth feel. Heavy nose, dark fruit and wet wood. Pandemic bottle #5.

Super intense. Inky black/red color. on the nose, charcoal and molasses? Or burnt marshmallow? taste of ripe red cherries and black current jam and graphite.
