Relentless Napa Valley Syrah Petite Sirah

The nose on this was everything you want to inhale in a big old wine like this. Syrah w/ Durif , this aged handsomely. Inhales of Eucalyptus, fern forest, crushed poppy seed.
All of this and more on the body, mint, anise, tannins still holding, and could probably carry this for a few more years.

Damn, Doug, why can't you make more? So, so very beautiful. Elias is incredible at his craft, and naming it after him makes sense.

The wine was solid. Really nice even against 42 year old wines.

Still lovely and very well-made

Still fresh. Inky black color with strong fruit on the palate without being overwhelming. Well balanced.

Fruit forward, but complex and delicious

Much better on day 2, but still a bit of a roller coaster ride. Shoulda opened this two years ago.

Amazing and delicious and merry Christmas

Exceeded expectations, vibrant fruit with leather, cigar box, vanilla, & cedar. In a great spot.
