Delicious with a mid rare ribeye. Breathed in glass for 3 hours before the meal. Plush blue fruit and nicely integrated oak.

A baby but in line with the Shafer style. Broad and intense palate showing creme d'cassis, black cherry, and sweet oak. Long and intense finish.

Just lovely - opening up so nicely - it is Shafer and man can this wine play music - maybe not some of the music I heard played lately like Forman or beau venge - and maybe not so much the darkest color or boldest cab - but it is so smooth - the taste is full of fruit - blackberries with cassis - and the finish is so nice - lots of velvety richness and so balanced - now all said it is good but not intoxicating bold - it is nice and attractive but maybe not most beautiful women in the room that everyone notices immediately - but I am glad I have bunch of these to drink and very glad I gave this some age - I expect this timing on drinking is right now with a small decant and for another 6-7 years

And finally big smiles for a Wednesday night - have a great hump day night!

Young. Tight. AKA, just the way I like it.
