Really good for a 2004 Merlot. The cork crumbled on opening, we decanted thru a coffee filter to a water pitcher. Let it sit 15 minutes. Great fruit component good structure. Showing really well . Shafer really knows how to make them . CB 92

Great. Not "merlot-ey" @ all. more like an aged napa cab: full body, a little spice, leather. Some more merlot-characteristic smoothness & vanilla.
