Shafer never disappoints. This is a terrific wine that had incredible layers of flavor (especially given the fact that it's almost 14 years old). Classic older CA cab with hints of secondary aromas and flavors, but still has plenty of fruit in the forward palate. Balanced throughout...and probably still has several years of life left to it. Great wine.
