An interesting Southern Rhone blend of Carignan Grenache Cinsault and Mataro. Almost like an Aussie Cotes du Rhone but more restrained and subtle than the real CDR - strangely enough. Hints of cherry and white pepper. 16+. Tasted again on 18 Feb 2016. As per previous notes but just hints of white pepper and cherry. A little underwhelming in the palate lacking fruit and flavour generally. Drink the remaining 3 soon. Short term. Still a good attempt at a Southern Rhone style.
