This is quite good but it's not as solid as a typical Cabernet. Good mouth feel and finish but just a little weak in the taste department.

Average. Total Wine in Vegas, Marie, recommended- it's like that Seinfeld episode where Elaine was choosing her VCR movie rentals on staff recommendations. I need to move to another staff's section.

Another "winery direct" selection that at one time was available for all CT retailers/restaurants to buy/sell, but now is only available through 1 big box chain. I used to love their Zin, never had the Cab until now. Not bad for a $12 Cab Sauv. Definitely on the lighter side of medium bodied. Neutral bouquet with hints of baking spice. Cinnamon & dark cherries dark pit fruit coming though on the palate with a faint Cigar & plum skin after taste. Little to no tannin structure. Short dry finish. Overall it's an easy drinking Cab at an affordable price. Nothing too complex, not and over the top fruit bomb. Balanced and nothing more going on, but for this meatloaf dinner it's actually perfect.

I purchased this bottle at the store after trying it in the tasting room however this bottle tasted completely different than what I had in the tasting room. The wine from the tasting room was full flavored and otherwise consistent with Paso cabs. This bottle on the other hand, tasted flat, somewhat tart, and not what you would expect from a cab. Next time I will buy the wine from the tasting room.

Dark ruby in color with a red, purplish rim.

Fruity on the nose with blackberries, cherries, plums, currants, vanilla, wood, licorice, vegetables, spices and black pepper.

Medium plus in body, Smooth and elegant, with medium acidity and nice long legs.

Fruity and dry on the palate with cherries, blueberries, plums, oak, vanilla, tobacco, licorice, spices, bell pepper, nutmeg, and black pepper.

Medium plus on the finish, with velvety tannins and black pepper.

A nice California Cabernet. Very enjoyable by itself. Might need some time in the bottle to get rid of the vegetables on the nose and palate.

A little disappointing, though. I expected more out of it from all the reviews I saw. Good quality, but not a $20 bottle of wine. Very drinkable now yet a bit unbalanced. It was good right out of the bottle, but 30 minutes in the decanter made it better.
Great for a party, but there are so many other wines that are more affordable.

14.7% alcohol by volume.
