Moderate ruby color. Very perfumed bouquet of maraschino cherry, licorice, rose petals, and faint gamey notes. Generous wild berry fruit on the palate with beautifully textured tannins, balanced acidity, and 13.5% alcohol culminating in a very long and chewy finish. This is a lovely bottling from a good vintage which has really hit its stride. It was a nice accompaniment to Balsamic Roasted Pork Tenderloin. $100.
