Light golden color with green highlights. Aromas of baked apple, pear, and butterscotch with hints of white flowers. Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel and flavors of baked apple and pear. Barrel fermented with lees stirring but without secondary malolactic fermentation then aged 10 months in 30% new French oak. Fairly typical oaked California Chardonnay which admittedly isn’t my thing. 14.1% ABV.

Solid, everyday Chard at the $20 price point. Green apple on the nose followed by citrus flavors on the palate. A short, somewhat tart finish could use some improving on; but good value overall!

Worked well Mexican food. Light crisp a little sweet and fruity. Nice summer wine.

Nice oaky Chardonnay without the nasty butterball effect from an ML fermentation. Crisp floral notes underly the oak and lead to a long finish where the oak wanes. Good for a light lunch as long as you have no aversion to oak.
