Seifried
Nelson Chardonnay

@seifriedestate are one of the pioneers of the wine industry in New Zealand’s South Island, starting up in 1973. Seifried is probably the most well known name coming out of the Nelson region. I was lucky enough to enjoy a glass of their Sweet Agnes dessert wine over dinner at the Boat Shed Cafe however I also couldn’t resist grabbing a bottle of this 2015 Chardonnay at the supermarket to give it a whirl.
Plus I have to mention this vino won a silver at the Decanter World Wine Awards and also silver at the NZ International Wine Show in 2016.
It’s a vibrant golden lemon colour on the eye. Baking spice, orchard fruit and hints of oak and butter come through on the nose. While in the mouth it’s smooth and fresh with tropical 🌴 fruit sweetness and wonderfully refreshing citrus. Wonderfully delicious!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes

This is a very yummy drop and I'm glad we kept it for 7 years. Bright gold. Toffee and oak. Delish!
