Nov 24th, 2019This Malbec is an excellent representation from the high, extreme climate of Salta. It has structure for days and wonderfully intense aromas and flavors. Yet it’s also highly approachable in this moment.
It has a purple hue (basically opaque), with medium (+) intensity of aromas and flavors including black cherry, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, boysenberry, violet, licorice, clove, tobacco, vanilla bean, peat, potting soil, and clay pot.
The palate is dry with medium (+) acidity, a full body, high alcohol (15% ABV) and medium (+) tannins that are ripe and supple.
It’s the Seclantas Adentro (SA) Malbec Salta 2015 and it paired fabulously with steak. Cheers!
