Bright gold. Inviting nose of gold apples and butterscotch. Medium full palate of baked apples, creme brûlée, and white flowers. Light presence of oak and malolactic. Medium acidity. Not quite as “tropical” as I’d expect from a Wagner “California” Chard, and that’s a hood thing. This is actually a nice food wine with surprising balance and finesse. Pair with takeout chicken or fish meals on a Tuesday night. Drink now.
