Winemakers Reserve Amador County Zinfandel

Perfect with salmon for Christmas dinner delayed by the Blizzard of 2022.

Not Scott’s best Zin, but very nice.

Bouquet of jammy plums. Jammy berries and plums with a hint of sweetness. A quick finish.

Not my favorite from Scott.

Brambly jamminess at the front slid into some wordiness and then white pepper spice and some tannins.

Poured this at our church benefit wine tasting last night as a sample of a Scott Harvey Zin, hoping to encourage bids on the 3 liter bottle on the silent auction table. Wound up wishing I had poured less generously; finished it when we got home, wanting more. Everybody loved it.

This 2015 is so balanced yet lush. Beautiful integrated flavors. What a wonderful find!

Good food wine (asparagus omelets with sausage side tonight), a tad jammy but not a fruit bomb.

Great berries and dark cherry with light spice on the finish. Pure silk. Highly recommended. One of the best Zins I’ve ever enjoyed.

Super nice Zin from star winemaker Scott Harvey. Wonderful smooth peppery finish.
