As always, Scott’s Zinfandel ages wonderfully.

Dec 3rd, 2021First impression was petrol and star anise, but opened up to leather and tobacco. Not very fruit-forward, but re-read the winemaker's description and see this is by design. That's probably why I can only rate it an 8.3. I just prefer a bolder, fruitier expression of Zinfandel.

Some people don’t like Zin this age. We enjoy the port-like aspect this one developed. Great with broiled salmon.

Solid, but not a fair comparison to the previous night’s Zin.

Jun 6th, 2020Big bouquet of plums and dark cherries on first taste- Immediate burst of plums, blackberries and tannins up front. Then a dark cherry finish.

Bright and fruity , decently matured so that it loses that bold and smoky part of younger zins and takes on more of that bramble fruit and earthy quality
