Jun 21st, 2019A lovely little cabernet. Gentle tannins and well balanced but with a surprising amount of ripe blue/red fruit still left in the bottle. Would probably be best with a filet mignon or any food that would not overwhelm the finesse of this wine.

2 people found it helpfulMar 1st, 2015Schweiger Vineyards '09 Cab Sauv, Spring Mountain, Napa Valley. Recently released, exemplifying their typical 5 year plan from harvest to release. The only other vintages of this particular wine which I have tasted are '05 & '06. All are consistently rich, smooth, & intricate across the floral, fruit, nut, & shoe leather spectri. An extraordinary value in luxury class.

1 person found it helpfulNov 10th, 2014A dense ruby/purple, the '99 Schweiger Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain District is a rustic, gritty macho-style red. Abundant aromas of sweet black cherry, tobacco, leather, cedar and mint are present. This earthy wine has a herbaceous streak before the short compact finish.
