Medium garnet with a nose of red fruits. Smooth in the mouth with red fruit slightly forward, on the light side of medium body. Slight oak & earth- pretty nice (better than when it was younger!)

Can really smell the oak. Couldn’t tell if I was going to hate or love it at first. But each glass tastes better than the last. Great over a nice fire watching football with the family. Tastes like an expensive pour. I like it.

Impromptu Schug pinot noir tasting. All four of us prefer the Carneros pinot over the Sonoma coast pinot. This is not as well balanced and more fruit forward style.

Berries and cherries and clove/nutmeg. Lean, mineral-driven on the finish with good acidity.

Very similar to the 2018 but that extra year in the bottle is missed- just not as smooth as the 2018 and a bit more fruit. Will be interested to see what the same 2019 tastes like in a year.
