14.7% ABV! Hot foothills vino. Nice deep red color with a maroon shimmer. Smells like sun baked blackberries and gunpowder. Or is it hot decomposed granite and strawberry jam? Anyway smells like CA-Italia wine. Flavors are berry driven, but balanced and complex. Bitter almond and cherry pits soaked in vodka. With bright blackberry brandy streak. This might turn some off with the high alcohol and fruit forward stuff, but I liked it and found it was pretty balanced for how ripe the grapes musta been at harvest. And there is a cute bike in the label…
