Another Chatom Winery wine. Love their Zin. 14.8% ABV. Lovely color. Red. Smells a little of brandy and/or whisky on the nose. Also wet soil/steam bank. Flavors are also a bit hot and firewater-y. Plenty of jammy fruit too. This resembles foothills old vine style Zin. Fruit and alcohol bombed, but with some wine character and depth to it too. Not knowing too much of Dolcetto I think this might be different than the Italian ones, but still has some interesting things to offer.
