Dense Ruby, almost black. A contained nose to begin with - after time in decanter notes of liqueur cherries. Good grip - a serious wine from Steve Pannell who does really well with alternative varieties. Great with home made Pizza. Had my last bottle on 10th September 2021 with consistent notes. A well made bottle of wine.

Apr 11th, 2021As mentioned in previous notes Steve Pannell is the master of alternative varieties in Australia. The Spanish Tempranillo and the Portuguese Touriga Nacional. As Steve says both varieties have savoury tannins and are perfectly suited to being blended. I found it had red florals, red licorice, stalky notes. On the medium bodied palate savoury plum with soft pliant tannins.
