Big and bold, as is the Sbragia way. But at this age, things are coming together really nicely. Nose is intense with ripe blackberry and maraschino cherry liquor. Baking spices, warm toasty vanilla, cocoa powder, eucalyptus and cedar. Palate is juicy and just a touch sweet. Acidity and tannin are both around a medium, softened and balanced by this bottles age. Unfortunately the finish is pretty short and clean. Regardless, this was a great pairing for a pan-seared NY strip with roasted veggies. Would be interested in trying this again in a few years.

Stunning. Rich but authentic, hedonistic but old school, concentrated yet herbaceous. Crème de cassis, currant, vanilla, black cherry, cherry tobacco, licorice, purple flowers and cedar. And it's from the Moon... Moon Mountain that is, on the western slopes of Mt Veeder. Monte Rosso is a 19th century NorCal vineyard that Morgan Twain-Peterson said must have been one of the greatest feats of wine-growing history. http://bedrockwineco.com/vineyards/monte-rosso-vineyard.html

Just ok. Starts out surprisingly nice but something about the finish is very off putting
