I am going back to the Loire Valley to try another Chinon tonight. I love the Loire and their wines, they just have that consistency about them whether it be red or white. The nose on this Chinon has a bigness to it. Dark fruit, molasses, chocolate and some tar. At first taste there is a nice minerality and acidity, good chewy tannins and a big vegetal note with sour dark cherries. Not bad for $16 bones.
