Earthy, deep cherry fruits on the nose and just a wallop or sweet, wet Volnay earth. Palate is so seductive and gorgeous. It has that 22 opulence but also the Garaudet earthy grit. Unreal, sweet and velvety tannins. Really brilliant. Let’s see what air does. I can only assume it will finesse out like in barrel. Wow did this need air! Stunning aromas that are classic Volnay. Haunting with such lift. Stunning fruit on the palate and a deep, but grapey young quality. 9.5 to 9.6.

Apr 11th, 2026Wow what a stunning nose. Just unreal clean and very high toned mid season cherry. Like a cherry bomb. Just the essence of cherry. Drop dead stunning. It’s insane how pure this is. 9.6 nose but can go higher. Oh my god. Cherry flower beyond. Almost a Sangiovese like Pergole Torte effect. Stunning. Some citrus rind and white tea as well. Palate is so elegant and just stunningly pure. So juicy and clean with gorgeous cherries but seems to be holding back but my goodness is this a superb wine with top top finesse. Florent has arrived with his reds. They were always good but wow they are top 1% now.
