Santa Christina
Toscana Red Blend
Drank 9\29\22
Looking for a cheap red. I've had this in the past so I thought I'd give the 2019 a try. Simple nose of red cherry. Ripe flavors of red fruit and a touch of earth. Perhaps it is the vintage but there seems to be a move toward a riper, international style, which is not my cup of tea. This drinks hot despite the 13% alcohol and short finish.
3/21/6/2/2 +50 = 84 pts.
Would prefer a simple red from any Tuscan Osteria.

Simple basic red that was on sale at Costco. Easy to drink but not much to it.

Nov 19th, 2018Deep red purple color. Lively notes of red fruit - Black currants, raspberries, cranberries, cherries. Medium tannins with a touch of sweetness on the silky finish. Smooth, well balanced. Nice value wine!

Aug 21st, 2019This is the first bottle for me and won’t be the last. It’s a great standalone wine. Not heavy tannins which I don’t like. Had a nice rich berry taste to it but it wasn’t sweet by any means. Half the bottle I used making French onion soup and the other half I drank! I definitely will be buying additional bottles for my wine cellar.
