Six Pinots, all made by Ed Kurtzman, of August West and Roar fame who also consults to Freeman and Mansfield Dunn. Ed joined our tasting. I loved the meatiness of this and it was my #1.

Last of my 2012 Sandler Pinot. What a steal for a tasty, complex treat.

Still singing! One of the best QPR Pinot Noirs out there, so much going on. An easy purchase every year.

Pronounced tomato skin, with a bit of spice, earth, and red fruit on the nose, with cherry and spice on the palate with enough tannin and acidity to keep it from being fat. I was surprised to note that alcohol is listed at 14.6%, as there was neither heat nor the over ripeness that can be common with higher alcohol PInot Noir. A nice wine.
