medium ruby; red berries, floral notes, hints of earth; crunchy, clean, pure fruit, drinks like a cru Beaujolais; sourced from own-rooted vines at Rim Rock Vineyard, whole clusters, fermented with carbonic maceration in stainless steel to emphasize purity of fruit, no sulfur, bottled only in magnums; Amrita is Sanskrit word meaning nectar of immortality, also an homage to a famous Indian environmentalist; $167

Wine geek Pinot. Own rooted, carbonic maceration, no sulphur, magnum. Personally I’d love to taste this with traditional fermentation. The fruity crunchiness almost gets in the way; yet that’s what it’s supposed to be. I’m asking for inauthenticity. For what this is, the expression is incredibly pure, nose to tail.
