Sleeping Giant Foch - Baco Noir
A juicy Canadian red made from two obscure red grape varietals: Marichel Foch and Baco Noir. Prominent notes of raspberry, blackberry, coffee and toasted oak, with softer tannins, a fruity palate and very easy to drink.

Dec 24th, 2018Very young and fruity reminds me of Beaujolais Nouveau. But thicker consistency with raspberry liquorice frontend, which twists into a speck of cherry tartness, before the flash of Foch funk or burnt leaves arrives. The youth of this flattens into oak. The taste is a hurried experience front to back. Suggest venison or moose as it needs something to tame the sweet. Cheers🍷
