This is showing beautiful contrasts in the bouquet, between dark ripe fruit and savory tones, with all the Tuscan hallmarks of dust and spice, that you could ever hope for. It's dark, silky and vibrant with alluring grip on the palate. I'd say it needs a few more years in the cellar but is still enjoyable now on its potential alone.

I was hoping for a little more brightness, as other Italian merlots I’ve had have shown more acidity to balance out the fruit. This seemed a bit flat, instead.
