A fun blend of mostly Dolcetto and splash of Gewurztraminer, the 2022 “La Lupa” pours and bright orangish ruby color with medium viscosity and no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with remarkably fragrant notes of white and purple flowers, watermelon, maraschino cherry, kiwi, pine needles, and wet rocks. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium- tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. Finish is medium. This is an unbelievable quaffable wine. Is this Glou Glou or is this serious? Nicoletta answered, “why not both?” Drink now and good luck keeping the glass down.
