Chardonnay

A flinty funky nose. Palate is balanced showing pear and wet rock and manages to be creamy on the front palate with a cleansing acidity at the back end. Great winemaking - not surprising when you know Steve Flamsteed (ex Giant Steps) is involved. From a great vintage in the Yarra Valley. Had my 2nd last bottle 81 weeks later on 8th January 2026 with no additional notes to add to the above. Just a class act. I will make a fresh Delectable note for the last bottle. I ended up having the last bottle on 25th April 2026 so I didn’t make a new tasting note. An excellent well balanced Chardonnay. You would not expect anything less from Steve Flamsteed.

2009. Cracking Chard. Looking deep and delicious.

Great Chardonnay; I've loved every one of these Salo wines, made with flair and so damn delicious. Nougat, white stone fruit and puckering citrus, nimble medium bodied wine with great line and length.

Such a cracker. Sharp, with a delicious leesy funk. Love it.

Quite simply, delicious. The mouthfeel is great, with a weight and oiliness that coats the tongue before finishing clean and brisk.

Glorious nose. Full, broad palate. Stone fruit, lees, dried apple, grapefruit and a savoury, flinty element.
