Don’t understand some of the low ratings barrel fermented chard. Lees contact similar notes as last time having this baked apple / pear bread dough but nice especially considering price would certainly drink up but 6 month window looks good

Jun 12th, 2020Crushed seashells, lemon, reductive smoke, and a hint of buttered popcorn on the nose.
A lot of baked apple and pear with medium acidity. Oak/vanilla plays a background role with a bit of ML character on the finish.
Quite an elegant new world Chard as well as a great value. I enjoy the more restrained oak character.

Oct 12th, 2019Definitely a Cali chard - not too oaky , lots of “clean” citrus-y fruit , pretty good ... hard to go wrong when it’s from Carneros
