Now this is impressive. 17-years-young and still going strong, Vanessa and I first came across this winery (and this vintage) when we were looking for places to have our wedding in Napa in 2003. Still retains terrific balance, ample fruit, and enough structure to keep it interesting while still being soft enough to go with a killer filet mignon. The perfect ending to a great Christmas Eve. Dec 25th, 2019This is the Block I cab from St Helena winery. Pretty impressed with how this has held up - still a lot of fruit on the nose, while at the same time acquiring some nice secondary components on both the nose and the palate. My guess is that this one is probably at peak - wouldn't recommend holding onto it for too much longer.
