Believe this is the third producer of red still Pinot Meunier, which I have enjoyed. Others being La Rochelle (my first intro to Meunier, from Saralee Vineyard) and Chandon.
Similar yet different character than Noir. Higher acidity, lighter bodied than Noir, and in the direction of strawberry. Nice varietal to seek still. Exciting to discover as sparkling, where differences from Noir are more apparent, IMHO.
Stelvin, High acidity, needs air, better on second day.

Pleasantly dry that goes down smooth. Dark, rich color. Plum, dried cranberries, dried strawberries.

Mar 17th, 2020Earthy. Bit of pie cherry. Lovely translucent pale red. Smells floral. Flavor is light, but elegant. Bit of acid bite. A Pinot that’s not Noir. What a strange concept.
