A very lean, flinty, minerally expression. Really, I may not have picked this out as a gewurtz at all. It doesn't have the spice, depth and sweetness I more associate with this grape although I acknowledge a subtle level of lychee when you really look for it. It comes to a sharp gunpowder finish and may pair with sushi like an effervescent, dry Asahi beer.
