72/28 blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Dense, highly extracted purple-red. Notes of cherry, berry, black currant, white pepper and herbs in nose. Cherry and white pepper in mouth, orange-lemon, white pepper and later green olive flavors in finish. Barrel smoke emerges 60 to 90 minutes later in nose. Shows good varietal character from both grapes. Some seed and moderately astringent skin tannins in aftertaste. Highly drinkable
