Similar to last year’s vintage. Fun summer wine with savory notes and grip from the Sangiovese but also light and refreshing with a chill.

Fun, unusual summer wine. Lots of grip from the Sangiovese.

Almost opaque… light brick red with a touch of browning. Cherry, violet, hint of ripe orange. Served slightly chilled with grilled pork loin with teriyaki fresh peach glaze. Very light, but packing some serious tannic weight. Definitely needs food to hold its weight and balance. Fun, but simple.

We served it chilled. Found it rather blah. No strong flavors, not what I expected from Sangiovese (85)/ Friulano (15). I only had one glass and let Scott finish the bottle. Disappointed.

Fruit juicy co-fermentation...85% Sangiovese 15% Fruilano. Early heat wave at Michigan Lake house... slight chill, tempted to break out the ice cubes. Tannic grip on finish, strawberry/fruit punch aromas... nice bright acidity. Very unusual, but fun... can imagine this as a yummy slushee.

Funny wine. Sangiovese cofermented with Friulano (15%). Carbonic but no bubble gum. Earthy strawberry. Hawaiian punch. Floral. A little tannin. Long finish. Serve chilled. Chugger.

Crushably quaffable with surprisingly firm grip. The Sangiovese is full of red-fruited California sunshine and friulano adds weight, beefs up the juice factor, and does funky almondy friulano things. Well made wine with polarity and tension.
