So, first wine rating since being hospitalized... This has been a favorite for a while. It is a little long in the tooth now, but still a nice aroma of blueberry compote. Still delicious, just a bit different.

Color is deep and slightly darker than Syrah, nose is predominately of dark black fruit. Alcohol appears medium high but not too hot on palate. Tastes of plums leaning toward very ripe side. Finish is medium minus. Tannins are chewy. Acid is not quite there.
