Rutini Wines
Mendoza Malbec
Finishing up our trip and last night in Buenos Aires with a dinner tango show.
We had to go with Rutini again tonight as the wine/bottle that came with dinner reminded us of what our parents used to drink. The choices to purchase wine were also very limited but, the show fantastic!
The 2015 Rutini Cabernet-Malbec blend the night before was better than the 2015 Rutini 100% Malbec tonight.
On the nose, perfumed dark red & blue florals. The fruits are candied in style. Dark cherries, blackberries, blue fruit hues, black raspberries and raspberries & strawberries on the edges of the glass. Mocha, caramel, cinnamon, loamy dry soil & clay, dark moist soils, soft leather notes & light, soft spice.
On the palate, the body is medium. The tannins are round & dusty. Ripe; dark cherries, blackberries, black raspberries, blue fruit hues, cherries & strawberries. Berry fruit cola, vanilla, light caramel & mocha, dry crushed rock powder, dry stones, soft leather, underbrush, bright red florals & violets, good round acidity and a round, balanced fruit and earth finish.

Despite being quite young, it shows a surprising roundness and smoothness. Persisting flavors and aromas.

On the palate, abundantly bright acidity, and an intriguing slightly salty, slightly herbal countenance that shows mostly on a finish well-endowed with black pepper, bay leaf and sweet tobacco. Dec 21st, 2015On Nose its Blackberries, red fruits, leather, tobacco, oak, very aromatique
On the palate, Mouthful flavor, all rounded wine, long finish, fine tannin, very little spice typical malbec, medium intensity. This wine is delicious, can survive 5 more years of bottle aging. Decant time is 30 minutes, what a strong vintage from argentine. Enjoy it now! CHEERS

Had this wine while traveling in Argentina. Easy to drink. We all enjoyed this with our dinner - went well with both steak and pasta dishes. Would be good without food.
