Deep Purple in color with a purplish rim.
A Great Napa Valley nose of vanilla, Coca-Cola, licorice, blackberries, figs, raisins, light smoke, cherry pie and black pepper.
Full-bodied, smooth and bold, with high acidity and gorgeous legs.
Dry and still very fruity on the palate, with blackberries, black currants, figs, raisins, Diet Coke, vanilla, cedar, licorice, cloves, leather, dirt, beef jerky, asparagus and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm, yet smooth, tannins, spices, tart cherries and bitter almonds.
This is a great 8 year old, Single Vineyard, Petite Sirah from Napa Valley.
Very elegant, smooth and well-balanced by now. Drinking very nicely by itself or with grilled Meats.
Like many Napa Reds, this has a ton of vanilla and oak on the nose. A little much for my taste, also a bit bitter on the finish, otherwise it is very enjoyable.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
