Rustenberg
Stellenbosch Sauvignon Blanc
Idiosyncratic, quite forward without the pungency of a Marlborough Sauvignon. Intense aromas of lemon, lemon peel, grapefruit, orange peel, fennel, passion fruit, guava, flint and struck match.
Good now but not a keeper.

Fruity to the point I wondered if there was a little RS? But balanced by fresh grass and great acidity.

Feb 20th, 2021Very unique nose... I'm not getting the "abundance of tropical fruit characters", but more of a perfume or petrol. A very round body (aged on its lees for 3 months) but a nice tartness and a lingering acid tingle. Not bad.
