A bit of a vegetal note to the cherry and plum fruit very simple but fresh. Light and refreshing red

The nose is pure S Africa, unfortunately that can go either way depending on your tastes. Gamey meat, funk and petrol with brambled black fruit race to the front - to be honest, don't stick your whole nose in the glass for this one. Sniff from a bit of distance or around the edges if you want to get more of the subtleties (which include smoke, pencil lead, raspberry and blueberry). Like the nose the palette is almost void of fruit; it's earth, decaying foliage, dried mushroom, graphite and a bit of sour something. I think it's safe to say if you generally don't enjoy S African wines you also won't enjoy this one. I've had some amazing wines from this region, this just isn't one of them.

Very dry but just right for the "Pokie" pot! Kudu, Springbuck and plenty of veg! I enjoyed this red blend with its berry aromas and rich flavors. Great with a thick rib-eye or leg of lamb!

Has a green pepper note. Easily drinkable, but not great.

Solid wine. Another reason to gravitate towards South Africa for some delicious wines, at attainable prices. Dark fruits with tints of leather and light oak. One grape swappable shy of a Bordeaux blend. I think the Syrah adds more to this than Malbec would anyways. Vuvuzela in one hand, glass in the other.
