Stellenbosch Petit Verdot Rosé

Strawberries, cherries, white cranberry. Darker, fruity+. Medium+ bodied. Blood orange.

The nose shows, rich, ripe, deep fruits of; strawberries, cherries, very ripe, juicy watermelon, orange rind, soft powdery minerals & chalkiness, hints of herbaceousiness, bay leaf withering red flower and roses.

The body is full, rich, thick and somewhat candied. Rich, ripe, deep fruits of; strawberries, cherries, very ripe, juicy watermelon, orange rind, soft powdery minerals & chalkiness, hints of herbaceousness, bay leaf withering red flower and roses. The acidity is like a waterfall and the finish is rich, juicy and delicious.

Rich ripe fruit and a hint of residual sweetness. Not a complex rosé but easy-drinking and well-balanced with oodles of strawberry fruit.

Not a particularly strong nose, but it's got a substantial body and a little bit of spice to it that complements the watermelon notes on the palate. Not my favorite rosé from the Western Cape (that would be Riebeek Cellars' pinotage rosé), but it's a good summer sip.

Interesting (good) taste; touch of spice. Good QPR.

A big rosé style and with lots of fruit sweetness. Still balanced - a well made example of Cape Pink.
