I’m seeing the same influence across the 3 Rudderless wines I bought - grenache (2017), malbec (2017) and this shiraz. A nice little study into terroir. All from a close collection of Sellicks Hill vines, the southern edge of McLaren Vale. All having a recognisably similar earthy, dried-herbs, mild spice dimension. This is the densest of them all, black/purple in the glass, black fruited, gravelly tannin, meaty but balanced. A shiraz with medium-bodied heft and balance - suits me!
