Carvalhas Douro Touriga Nacional - Touriga Franca Blend

Smells of warm blackberry scone.

Starts off with kirsch, artichoke amaro, hint of licorice, horehound, mint. Was hoping this would be better at the price point, as you don’t see many 100% touringa nacional in the states.

A lovely red blend of 60% Touriga Nacional, 20% Touriga Franca, 20% Tinta Roriz, red fruits, intense aromatics, fruity, and very smooth and silky, inviting mouthfeel, delicious texture and long finish! Never disappoints!

Great cheap buy from Total Wine. Pleasantly surprised how good this was and would get again.

My sister would rate it a 10 but she’s also drank most of the bottle so I’m gonna go with a 9.2 because she is generally reliable but ya know…wine!

Lovely deep plum with lighter edges, complex mature aroma with dark fruit and leather notes and soft tannins.

Very drinkable and really opened up after 30 mins of being opened . Went well with pasta ans pizza. Great value for 12 $ and 92 points at total wine

Light and easy drinking could go with marinara , olives and salami $14 at Total Wines
