La Grande Terre Vacqueyras Red Rhone Blend

Loved the way this was showing. Almost light on its feet. Not overly extracted at all. Beautiful Rhone wine.

2011, Roucas Toumba, La Grand Terre Vacqueyras. Drinking much better that the first bottle. Well balanced with good primary black fruit.

2011, Roucas Toumba, La Grande Terre Vacqueyras. Grenache and Syrah. Intense purple with heavy extraction. Dark, stewed fruit with cedar, chocolate and forest floor. Tannins are med high and need some time to integrate and mellow. Needs lots of decant time to drink now. Still paired well with grilled burgers. Will let the other bottle sit for a whole.

Chalky minerality. Scent of blood. Nice and lean.
