We welcome another Friday evening ushering in the weekend. I have opened the 2010 Rotie Cellars Southern Blend. 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah and 10% Mourvedre from Washington State.
On the nose is nice dark fruit - Black Cherry, Black Raspberry, Blueberry, Ripe Strawberry, Anise, Violet, Sweet Tobacco, and a bit of Cinnamon.
The fist sip gives a velvety smooth mouth feel and the palate has Black Cherry, Raspberry, Blueberry, Mint, Licorice, Black Olive, a Meat note, Clove and Smoke.
The medium + tannins have a soft chewy feel and there is medium acidity that leads to a long pleasing finish.
What a wonderful start to a beautiful weekend and please everyone be safe and enjoy your wine weekend. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🖒
