I tried the Sauv Blanc from Rosily Vineyard last year and loved it. So when I recently saw this straight Semillon from the Margaret River Winery, I had to buy it ($20 from Guildford Cellarbrations).

Lemon colour on the eye and the nose took me on a trip around the garden with fresh herbaceous notes, florals and citrus trees. Delicately flavoursome on the palate with gooseberry, nectarine and apple hints and a fresh citrus kick. Not what I was expecting for a 2014 Semillon but it was enjoyable!

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine

Lovely balance to this straight semillon - rich and waxy with a bit of citrus zing. Great food wine and excellent value for money at around $20 a bottle
