This washes across the palate, with round yet juicy textures delivering ripe orchard fruits and hints of candied lime. Its stimulating minerality and sour citrus add poise, yet not so much to slow its momentum, as the 2020 finishes long and wickedly fresh. This would make a great gateway wine for lovers of Sauvignon looking to explore Friuli. The Serena Palazzolo e Figli is a blend of fruit from throughout the Ronco del Gnemiz vineyards. Glorious Sauvignon Blanc. Shimmering, bright, incredibly light and focused but with depth and intensity. Herbal, citrus and pine aromas transform into ripe peach and juicy tropical fruit on the palate. The concentration of this wine is impeccable, but it offers such clarity, minerality and zest as well. Delicious fruit and tremendous elegance. One of the best whites I’ve tasted of late.
